Some months back I purchased new mobile Samsung Star (S5233), and its worth a price. I am totally amazed by usability of this phone.
This phone comes with basic functionality which any basic low cost gives, additionally it showcases FM Radio, 3.2 MP camera, Expandable 4GB slot, and Touchscreen. I was bit hesitant to purchase this phone model as it has Samsung’s own OS named as TouchWiz and had no idea on responsiveness of this OS, but the UI is very easy to use and can be operated using only fingure touch (without stylus).
Phone box comes with a Phone Charger, Stylus, Phone Instrument, Software CD and operation manual.
At first glance Phone looks elegent and is very low weight. Corners are well curved with metallic frame, back cover (battery cover) is black and metallic and suits overall phone body. Phone comes with extra back cover with leather screen guard cover (wich is very useful). Screen is touchscreen and is well large and has 262K colors display. At the bottom there 3 buttons left most to make phone calls, roght most to hang up phone and middle on is return key and can be used to close applications. Left side of phone hace Volume increase/Decrease key which also can be used to scroll. Right side of phone has screen unlock button and camera button. Back of screen has camera on left with profile picture mirror.
After startup phone will disply a clean desktop/screen with Service Provider Information. You will be amazed with quality and color depth it shows. There are 3 screens to decorate with widgets and you can switch from one screen to another just by sliding from left to right or vice versa (much like GNOME desktop in linux). At the bottom there are 3 dots and dark dot indicates screen you are using. Single Tap anywhere on screen opens Widgets tray from where one can drag and drop widgets on screen or move it back in tray from screen. There are many widgets available and visibility is configurable from settings.
This is it, a short review, want to write more but do not have time to complete article, but keeping it as is for reference.
